sour cream

milk

butter or margarine

shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

salt

ground black pepper

bacon
crisp and crumbled (or 1 c. real bacon bits)
Instructions
Cook the potatoes until they are done by microwaving them or baking them in an oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.
Allow the potatoes to cool down for a few minutes.
Cut a strip of skin about 1 inch wide off the top of each potato.
Carefully remove the insides of the potatoes and place them in a large bowl. Make sure to keep the potato shells intact.
Add margarine to the bowl with the potato insides and mash them together.
Combine milk, sour cream, cheese, salt, and pepper with the mashed potato pulp, mixing thoroughly.
Spoon the potato mixture back into the potato shells, piling it high.
Top each potato with crumbled bacon or bacon bits.
Bake the stuffed potatoes in an oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
