Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium baking potatoes
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup butter or margarine
  • ½ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 slices bacon  crisp and crumbled (or 1 c. real bacon bits)

Instructions
 

  • Cook the potatoes until they are done by microwaving them or baking them in an oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.
  • Allow the potatoes to cool down for a few minutes.
  • Cut a strip of skin about 1 inch wide off the top of each potato.
  • Carefully remove the insides of the potatoes and place them in a large bowl. Make sure to keep the potato shells intact.
  • Add margarine to the bowl with the potato insides and mash them together.
  • Combine milk, sour cream, cheese, salt, and pepper with the mashed potato pulp, mixing thoroughly.
  • Spoon the potato mixture back into the potato shells, piling it high.
  • Top each potato with crumbled bacon or bacon bits.
  • Bake the stuffed potatoes in an oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
