Granny Smith Apple Crumb Pie

This apple crumb pie is a simple way to turn tart Granny Smith apples into a cozy dessert.

The filling uses cinnamon, nutmeg, and a little sugar for balance. You can mix in walnuts or raisins if you like extra texture, but it’s just as good without.

The crumb topping bakes up golden and crisp while the apples turn soft underneath.

A ready-made crust makes this recipe easy. Most of the prep is just slicing apples and mixing the topping.

Once baked and cooled, it cuts cleanly and stores well in the fridge. It’s a nice option for the holidays or any time apples are in season.

Nuts

Swap walnuts with pecans or leave them out if preferred.

Raisins

Use dried cranberries instead of raisins for a different flavor.

How to Store and Reheat

Store leftovers in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 3 days. Reheat slices in the oven at 325°F for 10–15 minutes or in the microwave for 20–30 seconds. The topping stays crispier when reheated in the oven.
