Instructions
In a saucepan, place the strawberries, sugar, 2 tablespoons of water, and balsamic vinegar.
Heat the saucepan over medium heat until it reaches a simmer.
Once simmering, reduce the heat to medium-low.
Cover the saucepan and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
In a separate small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of water with the cornstarch using a whisk.
Gradually whisk the cornstarch mixture into the simmering strawberry mixture.
Continue to cook the combined mixture, stirring constantly for 1 to 2 minutes, until it thickens.
Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Carefully pour the mixture into a blender.
Blend the mixture until a smooth puree is achieved.
