wiped clean

cornstarch

panko breadcrumbs
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add water and mix with a wire whisk until the mixture forms a smooth batter.
Insert a toothpick into each clean mushroom.
Dip the mushrooms into the batter, allowing extra batter to drip off.
Roll the battered mushrooms in Panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
In a deep fryer or large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
Carefully place the coated mushrooms in the hot oil.
Fry the mushrooms until they are golden brown.
Remove the mushrooms from the oil and drain on paper towels.
