  • Preheat oven to 325° F
  • Prepare a 9×13 baking pan by greasing and flouring.
  • In a stand mixer or a large mixing bowl with a hand mixer, cream together butter, sugar, and vegetable oil.
  • Add eggs one at a time, buttermilk, vanilla, flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and zucchini. Beat on LOW to combine.
  • By hand, fold in chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
  • In the prepared baking pan, add the batter. Spread to an even layer
  • In preheated oven, bake approximately 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Place cake pan on a cooling rack to cool.
  • When cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
