Tips and Tricks
Rising Dough: If your dough isn’t rising, place it in a warm spot or even on top of a preheating oven. Warmth gives yeast a nice boost.
Browning: To get that perfect golden-brown crust, brush the breadsticks with melted butter before baking. It adds flavor and color.
Sea Salt: Sprinkle a pinch of coarse sea salt on top before baking for an extra pop of flavor and a bit of crunch.
Parmesan Cheese: Fresh is best! Grate your own Parmesan cheese for topping—it’s more flavorful than the pre-grated kind.
Herbs: For a twist, try mixing in some dried herbs like oregano or basil into the dough before baking for an herby flavor.
Reheating: Just preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Then, place the breadsticks on a baking sheet and pop them in the oven for about 5 to 10 minutes or until they’re warm and crispy again. If you’re dealing with breadsticks that are a bit dry, wrapping them in foil before reheating can help keep them soft.
