Tips and Tricks
Prepping the Chicken
To make the chicken breasts cook evenly, pound them to an even thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin. This ensures they cook at the same rate, preventing overcooking.
Nutty Breading
For a finer texture, pulse the nuts and breadcrumbs until they reach a uniform consistency. This helps the coating stick better to the chicken, giving it a perfect crust.
Egg Mixture
For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of garlic powder or paprika to the egg mixture. This enhances the taste without overpowering the dish.
Cooking Oil
Use a high-smoke-point oil like canola or peanut oil for browning the chicken. These oils handle higher temperatures better, giving you a perfect golden-brown crust.
Oven Cooking
To ensure the chicken is fully cooked, use a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit. This guarantees juicy and safe-to-eat chicken.
Serving Suggestion
Pair the chicken with a fresh green salad or steamed vegetables to balance out the meal. The lightness of the sides complements the rich flavor of the chicken.
