Simple Italian Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¾ cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 12 ounces pasta sauce
- 6 slices Monterey Jack cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375° F
- Place beaten eggs into a shallow dish.
- In another shallow dish, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoned breadcrumbs.
- Dip each chicken breast first into the eggs, then into the breadcrumb mixture, making sure each piece is well coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 8 to 10 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the juices run clear.
- Spread pasta sauce in a lightly greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Place the cooked chicken in the dish.
